Sophie Flack

Deputy Coordinator of Courses at the D Institute

Sophie is an expert in international affairs, holding a degree in Science from
the University of Münster and the University of Twente, as well as a Master´s in Democracy and Gender Politics from the University of Regensburg.

  • Coordinator of Academic Relations and Partnerships with multilateral
    organizations, think tanks, and universities.
  • Responsible for organizing, managing, and overseeing the administration of the
    Professional Courses and the Intensive Training Program.
  • Coordinates cooperation and partnerships with research institutions,
    academic organizations, and multilateral institutions to support the
    development and delivery of the Professional Courses and the Intensive
    Training Program.

Valentina Álvarez Wolff

Coordinator of Professional Courses and Intensive Training Programs

Graduate in International Relations from the University of Erfurt, Germany. She
is currently finishing her Master´s degree in Latin American Studies at the
University of Hamburg. Her areas of expertise include regional cooperation and integration, feminist foreign policies, care policies, and the analysis of migration phenomena in Latin America.

  • Head of Academic Programs.
  • Responsible for organizing, managing, and coordinating the Professional Development Courses and the Intensive Training Programs, ensuring their effective design, implementation, and delivery.

Víctor Godínez Zúñiga

Coordinator of the Global State of Human Rights and Democracy Index

Mexican economist. He has served as an official at ECLAC, is a professor at UNAM, Director of the Mexican Economy Journal (UNAM). Anuario UNAM, and a principal partner at SIREM, an organization focused on economic and social research and analysis.

As the director of the index, will be responsible for selecting the topics for analysis, defining the key questions to address, and determining the methodology for research and data collection.

Salma Belcaid Ziady

Coordinator of Institutional Relations, D Institute, Coordinator of International Relations, Human Rights Global House

Salma has a master’s degree on International Law and EU law, as well as an International Relations degree. She advocates for the fulfillment of the rule of law, human rights law and humanitarian law. On the same line, she is committed to diplomacy themes and MENA-SAHEL current armed conflicts.

  • Cooperation agreements with international institutions, multilateral
    organizations, research centers, and other think tanks on behalf of D Institute.
  • In collaboration with the Coordination of Human Rights Global House, develop partnerships for projects within the NGO’s scope of action.

Javier Esguevillas Ruiz

Director of D Institute

President and Director of Human Rights Global House, Dr. Esguevillas has dedicated more than 30 years to university teaching in various fields such as Public International Law, International Relations, and International Cooperation.

  • Leads The D Institute and Human Rights Global House which allows him to focus on the defense and promotion of Human Rights through a direct connection with development and democracy.
  • Deeply believes in the need for the human rights agenda to become a visible reality in the dynamics of the 21st century.

Armando Milou

Coordinator of Human Rights Global House (HRGH).

Armando brings more than 20 years of experience working for multilateral international development organizations (World Bank, UNEP), national regulatory agencies (USEPA), as well as international NGOs around the world. His expertise includes project management and data analysis within the environmental and policy fields, often focusing on Geographic Information Systems as a tool to consolidate data. Armando has worked throughout Latina America and the Caribbean, US, Africa and Asia. He holds a Master’s in Urban and Environmental Planning from Tufts University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Relations from George Mason University.

 

  • Internal Communication: Oversees internal communication functions
    within the organization to ensure clarity and cohesion. 
  • Support Role: Assists other members of HRGH and the D Institute by
    providing essential information and effective work methods.
  • Relationship Management: Maintains regular communication with organization members to stay informed about their activities and provide updates on initiatives within HRGH and the D Institute.
  • Alliance Coordination: Leads and monitors partnerships proposed by
    HRGH with multilateral, national, or civil society organizations.
  • Contact Point: As the primary liaison with partners and donors,
    ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Sebastien Benoit

Director of Art, Music and culture program on Human Rights Global House

Sebastien is a professional musician, author, and actor, he specializes in the
interpretation of medieval works under the guidance of Guy Robert, Bernard
Revel, Catherine Jousselin, and Pascal Coté.

  • Teaches at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Strasbourg.
  • In addition to his roles as an actor, musician, and artistic director of La Compagnie des Regains, he currently performs with various ensembles, including Caramusa (traditional Corsican music), Hauvoy, Tempradura, and Les Goliards (medieval music), as well as with the Compagnie Philémon (musical theater).

“Music, culture, and art must play an equally important role in raising the
necessary visibility for the achievement of human rights worldwide. For this
reason, I firmly believe in the need for Human Rights Global House to
implement projects that, through culture, art, and music, bring us closer to this
goal.”

Rosa Villar Orero

Editorial Director & Content Coordinator Agora of Rights

Rosa holds a degree in Law and International Relations and is currently pursuing PhD in Law. She has a special interest in research on international law, democratic governance, and geopolitics.

Fueled by my passion for research and by my aim to contribute to the creation of a more respectful and diverse world, I founded Agora of Rights—a project dedicated to fostering critical dialogues and constructive debates around Human Rights.
