Advancing Human Rights Through Democracy, Development, and Diplomacy
The European Non-Governmental Organization Human Rights Global House (HRGH), following the principles established in its statutes, approved the creation of a think tank or analysis center on March 12, 2024. This project responds to Articles 3.1, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 of its statutes, which define its purposes and objectives. With this initiative, HRGH strengthens its commitment to organizing seminars, courses, and research documents (Article 4 of the statutes) to contribute to the global understanding of Human Rights in the 21st century.
Thus, The D Institute (Democracy, Development, Diplomacy) was created as an HRGH project with operational autonomy. This centre is based on the belief that the concepts of democracy, development, and diplomacy are transversal axes directly linked to the broader definitions of Human Rights, as recognized and promoted by the United Nations (UN). Through The D Institute, HRGH works to defend and promote Human Rights by building more democratic societies, fostering inclusive economic development, and ensuring civil, economic, and social rights.
